Values and Goals (adopted 01/30/2026)
We believe that all people are made in the image of God and loved by God.
Therefore, we will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment of radical welcome for all people.
We believe that humans are designed to be in community and function best when active in a caring, nurturing community.
Therefore, in community, we will connect people with hope and compassion, with one another, with resources, and with faith.
We believe that we are all connected. We believe that another person’s tragedy or victory has an impact on our personal life and the life of the community.
Therefore, we will serve our neighbors with particular attention to people in recovery, as well as those who are temporarily unhoused, vulnerable, and underserved.
We believe that the simple pleasure of being served raises the dignity of both the server and the one served.
Therefore, we will offer coffee, drinks, and simple food at fair prices with a “Pay It Forward” option to help those who cannot afford this simple pleasure.
We believe that people in need should have access to support and resources in order to help improve their situation.
Therefore, we will assist people in navigating the social services available to them, including bringing social service professionals on site to meet with people.
We believe that there is a spiritual dimension that is the foundation to all life. We believe that part of the mystery of God is that God comes to every person in an individual way.
Therefore, we will offer pastoral care to those who are seeking support as they explore the mystery of faith.
We believe that people should be able to afford the basic necessities of life.
Therefore, we will offer a fair wage to our employees.
We believe that God is able to bring renewal out of every situation.
Therefore, we will hire people who are in recovery, who struggle to find work, or otherwise need flexible work schedules due to living situations and/or special needs.
We believe that worship as a community is transformational, intentional, communal, and central to the life of faith.
Therefore, we will offer a regular time of worship and the sharing of the Lord’s Supper.
